What it is
The content team shot hundreds of gigabytes at every trade show and parked it in Google Drive. It was expensive, slow to play and impossible to search. I built the Custom Drive on Cloudflare R2 so the files are ours, the bill is small and every clip is findable.
Footage organizes itself. Raw clips are sorted into the right event, day and booth on arrival and mapped to their sources, the supplier, the product and the post they belong to, so nobody hunts through a camera dump again. Uploads go straight from the browser to R2 in resumable multipart chunks. Every file gets a thumbnail, a share link with a branded preview page and an activity timeline. A scheduled migration moved 448 GB out of Google Drive, eight transfers at a time.
Camera masters are 10-bit HEVC at 97 Mbps and will not play in a browser. Proxy workers re-encode them to 1080p, which turned 1,406 videos and 342 GB into 34 GB of playable files. Whisper transcribes every video, so the team searches for what was said and jumps to the timestamp. A Cloudflare Worker CDN serves it all with signed tokens, and iOS saves straight to Photos.
It also closes the loop with publishing. As soon as a video is posted, the ManyChat automation for it is created automatically with the linked resources, so the “comment for the link” reply is live the minute the reel is.
