02SearchWebsite SEO Automation
We paid writers and agencies for SEO content and still published almost nothing. I built a tool that does the whole job.
Google Search Console, Nov 2025 to Jun 2026.
The problem
We paid writers and agencies to produce SEO content. Months went by and almost nothing got published.
Topics were picked by guesswork, even though the data to pick them was already in our own Search Console. Nobody was reading it.
Every post also needed a cover image, and that was a separate wait on top of the writing.
What I built
I built the SEO Automation Tool. It reads our Search Console, finds the keywords we do not rank for, writes the posts, makes the cover art and publishes to WordPress.
I kept a person in the middle. It suggests the titles, I pick the good ones, it writes them, I approve, it publishes. Nothing goes out unattended.
I also folded the cover-art generator into the approval step, so the artwork is not a separate job any more.
How it works
- Pulls 90 days of Search Console data and clusters the queries by intent.
- Drops anything an existing page already ranks well for, so it cannot cannibalise our own pages.
- Blocks topics we have already covered under different wording.
- Proposes around twenty titles in the house style. I tick the ones worth writing.
- Drafts the full post with internal links, an FAQ block and FAQPage schema.
- Generates the cover art in the house style and redoes it from notes if it is off.
- Publishes to the headless WordPress CMS with the cover attached.
- Tracks every keyword daily against its pre-publish baseline.
What changed
Clicks from Google went from 150 a month to 440. Impressions went from 29k to 79k.
Publishing stopped depending on anyone being free. Nobody chases a writer any more.
It tracks every keyword daily after publishing, so I can see whether a post actually moved.
